Chapter Regent, Wendy Kelly brings a wealth of DAR experience having served as NV State Membership Chair, and NV State Chaplain. For the Las Vegas Springs Chapter she has served as Chapter Vice Regent and Chaplain. Previously she served as Regent, Registrar, and Chaplain of the Valley of Fire Chapter, and as Vice Regent and Founding Member of The Meadows Chapter.
Wendy has completed more DAR Applications with Member for Member points (111) than any other Nevada DAR member! Wendy is a DAR trained genealogist whose research has focused heavily on the New England States. She has attended numerous state and national DAR conferenes and is passionate about the DAR Juniors Program. Wendy's mother, daughter and several other family members are also part of our chapter.

Dreama is a retired C.P.A. and renewable energy executive. She joined the Daughters of the American Revolution in 2020 after discovering her patriot ancestor through extensive genealogical research. Dreama has completed the DAR members course, committee leaders course, new horizons course, and all of the genealogy courses. She coordinates the chapter's annual Wreaths Across America initiative and is the chair of the chapter's America 250!, Celebrate Daughters, Conservation, DAR DNA Network, Genealogy Records, DAR Service for Veterans, and Service to America committees. She is the co-chair of the Nevada State Society's DAR DNA Network committee and chair of the audit committee. Dreama's two granddaughters are also chapter members.
In addition to her DAR activities, she is an officer of Earth Water Alliance and the Sunset Garden Club. She is also actively involved with WikiTree’s U.S. Black Heritage Project. Dreama holds an MSA from Saint Michael’s College and BA from Western Illinois University. Dreama and her husband enjoy spending time with their families and friends, taking road trips in their restored classic vehicles, and traveling. They have been fortunate to be able to spend time in Nevada and Vermont where they enjoy environmental, geographical, and cultural diversity.
Michelle is a retired data analyst, technology specialist and trainer. She joined the Daughters of the American Revolution in 2024 after finding a long forgotten envelope that had her 2nd great grandma’s DAR membership papers. Michelle is a certified DAR genealogist and is currently working on her Advanced Genealogy certification. She is also the chair of the chapter’s DAR/SAR/S.R., Lineage Research, and Volunteer Information Specialists committees. In addition, she provides technology support for the chapter's social media accounts.
In addition to her DAR activities, she paints kindness rocks for various rock gardens she has donated to, throughout the valley. Michelle holds a BA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and is a clinical level aromatherapist.
In her spare time, Michelle enjoys genealogy, gardening, reading and spending time with her husband and five fur babies.
Betty is currently retired after working for 36 years in the Casino Industry. Beginning her career in New Jersey, she moved to Louisiana, Indiana and Missouri and finally settled in Nevada in 2001. She has facilitated numerous gaming, procedural and guest service training seminars and was responsible for writing procedures and internal controls. Focusing on guest service, she has held various leadership and management positions along the Las Vegas Strip, earning many awards for leadership and service.
Betty has worked as a billing specialist for her family-owned and operated medical/physical therapy clinic. While in the St. Louis area, she was a volunteer for the local women’s abuse center and hotline. As a domestic abuse survivor, she feels strongly about giving back through helping women know their options for a sense of hope and survival.
Betty became a member of DAR in 2018, is a founding member of our Las Vegas Springs Chapter and is looking forward to becoming more actively involved in supporting our service members, veterans and community. Her patriot, John “The Great” Mathis, has a New Jersey DAR chapter named after him. In her spare time, Betty enjoys crafts, puzzles, reading and cooking. She has 2 highly successful DAR daughters, one of whom is a member our chapter, and 4 grandchildren.
An active, enthusiastic community volunteer for over 20 years, April joined DAR in October 2013 and is currently the Nevada State Scholarship Chair (having also served in that role 2020-2022), she is the current Chapter Chaplain and Birthday Chair. She is the chair of the chapter's American Heritage, Community Service Awards, and DAR Scholarship committees.
Other organizations April is involved with are Clark County Medical Society Alliance where she has served in the positions of Co-President, Secretary, Parliamentarian, Assistant Treasurer, Fashion Show Co-Chair, Holiday Greeting Card Scholarship, and is currently serving as Treasurer and Team Alliance Book Club Chair; Nevada State Medical Association Alliance State Co-President; .P.E.O. International Chapter AQ; Southern Nevada Kappa Kappa Gamma (KKG) Alumni Association; the Nevada State Medical Association Scholarship Fund Committee; and the UNLV School of Public Health Alumni Board Member at Large.
April is also a past recipient of the Presidential Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) for both individual and family categories for the hours volunteered with various nonprofit organizations throughout the valley such as Family Chair of the Las Vegs American Lung Association Walk for Asthma and founder of the former Jingle Bell Jog for Las Vegas Junior League. She also received the Helen Pederson Award by the Southern Nevada Alumnae Association who exemplifies the ideas of Kappa Kappa Gamma by demonstrating sincere friendship, leadership, loyalty, enthusiasm, and cooperation.
Originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, April moved to Las Vegas in 1991. She is married to Paul, a pulmonologist/critical care physician for 44 years who is the Founder/CEO of Pulmonary Associates and is the proud mother of two daughters. April earned a M Ed. in Health from UNLV and enjoys attending the theater, reading, book club, investment club, cooking, hockey (Go, Vegas Golden Knights!) and going to the beach in La Jolla, California. She is excited and enthusiastic about her involvement with the Las Vegas Springs DAR Chapter.
Sondra Brower is a Junior Member of Las Vegas Springs, NSDAR. She earned her Juris Doctorate at William S Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada where she is an Academic Success Program Fellow and CALI Award Recipient. Sondra holds a BS, Accounting and Finance, from Southern Utah University. In addition to her studies, Sondra was a legal extern at the Nye County District Attorney’s Office and a judicial extern with the Eighth Judicial District Court of Nevada. In addition, she completed legal internships with Vegas Golden Law and the Clark County District Attorney’s Office. In her free time, she enjoys travelling.
Victoria "Tori" Hawes is a Junior Member of the Las Vegas Springs, NSDAR. She is from Southern California and works as a camp counselor with Girl Scouts of Orange County and teaches AP United States History and AP Human Geography at Los Angeles High School. Tori is a founding member of the Las Vegas Springs chapter. She is also a national judge for Artistic Swimming, and is an avid fan of all things Disney and US History. Tori is an alumnus of The Ohio State University, and California State University, Fullerton and loves watching college football. In free time, she enjoys going to Disneyland, reading, and crocheting.
